Blue Mountain Wrap Up (part 1/2)

Last month, I booked a quick trip to Canada to unwind and ended up staying in Blue Mountain and Toronto, Ontario. Having never been to either destinations I must admit it are definitely 2 places I will return to one day. In this part 1 I will list up Blue Mountain.

1. Things to do

As Blue Mountain is the only real ski resort in close proximity of Toronto it is definitely a busy weekend destination, good thing I arrived after the weekend and left just before the next weekend. 2 very important facts about this resort:

What a year it has been so far. After being featured on the PFRE-site, I finally dared to enter a photo (see above) to the PFRE Photographer of the Month contest for the very first time and believe it or not I won. I am the first Belgian ever to win the contest. In Rome there are lots and lots of landmarks from historic pavilions to historic buildings to squares and colosseums but these are the ones that I enjoined visiting the most:

New York Wrap Up

April 15, 2010
After a trip of 12 days to the Big Apple, I am back in Belgium. It was fun, I got some great pictures, saw some amazing things, but I am glad to be back home. After having been to NY in ’97 and again in ’04. Now I was finally able to go out and see the sights. Although everyone told me that 12 days was way more than needed in NY, I was still not able to see everything that I wanted to see. But I definitely saw more than most when they go and visit NY. On the positive side,  I will have to go back to see the rest.

1. What to see

  • Empire State Building
  • Statue of Liberty + Ellis island
  • Rockefeller Center - one of the best views of the Empire State Building and Central Park
