It is with great pleasure that I announce that I recently won seven image awards at the prestigious FEP Awards organised by the Federation of European Photographers! Although it wasn’t possible for me to attend the ceremony in person, which took place on April 13th, 2024 in Ålesund, Norway, the recognition is very humbling.
This competition showcases Europe’s finest photographers’ work and being mentioned among such talent is an absolute privilege. There are multiple awards from the camera awards in every category to the single image awards, and every image gets scored out of a 100 by a judging panel of 6 of which 5 vote. The panel is selected out of the total of 31 judges.
My awards were as follows:
- 2x Merit Awards in Advertising and Commercial Category – These are given to acknowledge my commercial photography projects’ inventiveness mainly architecture. Images in this category are pertinent to advertising campaigns. Aerial, architecture, automotive, food, products, still life, self-promotion, music covers and corporate photography are all included in this category.
- 1x Distinction Award & 1 Merit in Landscape Category – This reveals the visual brilliance of one of my landscape photographs. Landscape photography is not a passive process it is the photographer’s control of natural light, composition and is above all, a creative process, an opportunity for the photographer to express themselves in the form of an individually crafted picture, utilising the creative elements of photography.
- 2x Distinction Awards & 1x Merit Award in Nature Category – These ones make me very proud as they reflect on the beauty and magic which I attempt to capture through nature photography. This category is for photography that is devoted to displaying natural elements such as plants, flowers, trees and close-ups of natural scenes and textures.
I am so thankful for this recognition and amount of awards. The categories Landscape and Nature also have very strict rules of not allowing any or any significant alterations therefor get Distinction awards in these categories is even more difficult. It is highly motivating to see such variety of great works. Thus, these awards help me to keep being adventurous when it comes to creativity.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude towards FEP for this remarkable recognition. A heartfelt thank you to FEP for this great honour. This is truly another milestone in my photographic journey, and I look forward to what lies ahead on my creative path.
