Gear, Favorite Places, and Other Stuff
The EOS 5D Mark IV camera builds on the powerful legacy of the 5D series, offering amazing refinements in image quality, performance and versatility with the all-new 30.4 Megapixel full-frame sensor. With the new sensor and dynamic range I will have you more than covered for most realistic printing and web applications.
The Canon 5Ds R lets me cover all high-end and large print jobs with its 50.6 MP sensor all print and web applications are covered.
The Canon 5D Mark III is still one of my favourite camera’s but with the release of the 5D IV and 5Ds R this one is mostly being used as a secondary/third camera, and with its 22 MP still has you more than covered for most realistic printing and web applications.
The Canon 5D Mark II is my third back-up, a perfect back-up to the 5D III, and with its 21 MP still has enough detail to have you covered.
As an architectural photographer one of your best friends is your tripod. You have to look for one that is sturdy, strong, lightweight and precise. I use the Manfrotto MT055CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber tripod and head for architectural and interior shoots.
For travel I wanted a lightweight one and for that I choose the Manfrotto MKBFRA4D-BH.
I’ve just gotten so fast with mac’s seamless integration between devices. It never freezes. No doesn’t crash all the time and I love being able to work hours at a time while editing photos without any BS. You could say that I’m an apple fan.
A must have as a photographer. The creative options that it photoshop offers are still the best around. If you have no Photoshop experience, I would start out with just Lightroom, which packs a lot of possibilities in a user-friendly app.
In no particular order these are some of my favorite places that I have been so far:
The Big Apple, the feeling of a city that never sleeps, where there is always something to do is very intriguing and keeps drawing me in. Read my New York Wrap-Up for some of my favorite places.
The city of light, walking along the Seine or through the rues in Paris during the day or night is amazing. Read my Paris Wrap-Up for more …
